Harvest Church family,
On March 17, Gov. Tony Evers directed Andrea Palm, secretary designee for the state Department of Health Services, to issue an agency order prohibiting mass gatherings of 10 people or more to slow the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). This is because COVID-19 is spreading in Wisconsin communities.
In compliance with this state order, and until this health emergency is over, Harvest Church is suspending all scheduled events. This includes Sunday morning prayer, the weekly church service, Harvest Youth, Monday Night Prayer, Heart Group meetings, Wednesday Bible Study, Royal Rangers, and Men’s breakfast. However, we will continue to accept prayer requests and praise reports by email or phone.
This was not an easy decision to make. These are unprecedented steps, and they are certainly disruptive to our lives and schedules. However, we are working on ways to stay connected. Members of the church leadership team will be contacting members and regular attenders on a regular basis to see how you are doing. We are developing ways to bridge the gap left by suspending our regular events. Currently we are conducting “Virtual Sundays” with a Facebook Live time of prayer beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday, followed by Harvest News and the sermon message. The sermon and Harvest News can also be seen by clicking on their respective tiles on our home page, or by visiting our YouTube channel. In the meantime, we will communicate with you frequently by email, Facebook and text. And even by phone!
I want to reassure you all that these are temporary
measures. As soon as this health emergency is over, we plan to resume our
regular schedule at Harvest Church.
In the meantime, I want to remind you that God is with us
and will not forsake us. As David wrote in Psalm 23, God is with us in the dark
valleys of our life and His presence comforts and protects us. Do not lose
Stay tuned for more details. You are all in our prayers. Blessings,
Associate pastor, Harvest Church
