Welcome! We’re glad you’re checking out our website. If you have never been to Harvest Church before, you may have a few questions. Below are some questions we have been asked, and hopefully our answers will be helpful to you.
When (and how long) are your services? Beginning March 11, 2018, we offer two Sunday morning worship services — 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. The early service lasts about an hour, and the second service between 75-90 minutes. And we conduct a Children’s Church service each Sunday for K-5 beginning approximately 10:45 a.m. and ending at the conclusion of the second service.
We hold a 30-minute prayer service every Sunday beginning at 9 a.m.
We offer a number of church activities during the week, each beginning at 6:30 p.m. and lasting about an hour.
Do I have to dress up for your church? We have no jacket-and-tie requirement here. Some members will wear their Sunday best, but most dress business casual.
Can I bring my coffee into the sanctuary? In a word — absolutely! It would be great if your beverage has a lid or cap, but don’t lose sleep over it.
What do you offer for my kids? On Sundays our nursery is available for ages 1-4 during the sermon. Children’s Church is also available Sunday mornings beginning at 10:45 a.m. for children in kindergarten through 5th grade.
Harvest Youth, for grades 6-12, is held Sunday nights beginning at 6:30 p.m.
“Girls Nite Out” — our Stars and Daisies programs — are held Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. beginning March 13, 2018.
Royal Rangers, for boys grades K-5, is held Thursday nights at 6:30 p.m. beginning March 15, 2018.
Pastor Rebekah can answer your questions concerning children’s ministries.
How can I connect with others? Great question! We offer several small, informal groups during the week that meet throughout our community. Usually there is food (yum!), beverages, discussion or study of Scriptural issues, and fellowship. There is also a men’s breakfast that typically meets at 8 a.m. the second Saturday of each month at Rodeside Grill in Windsor.
Pastor Kent is in charge of our fellowship ministry and can answer your questions, but you can also ask any of our pastoral staff about how to connect with others here.
Can I use your Wi-Fi? Sure — ask us for the password.
What is that colorful circle thing? Thanks for asking! That is our church logo. The cross is central to our logo. The arrows indicate that our four core values — Reaching, Teaching, Caring and Sharing — revolve around the cross. The “H” stands for Harvest Church.
What kind of church is Harvest Church? Hopefully, your kind of church! We are affiliated with the Assemblies of God. That means we believe the Holy Spirit is still active in the 21st century, and that the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22) and the gifts of the Spirit remain available to believers today.
What can I expect when I arrive? In the front parking lot (facing County Highway V) you will see someone wearing a burnt orange shirt — that’s a member of our hospitality team. They will assist you from the street to your seat, and can answer some important and immediate questions, like where the restrooms are located.
Who can I ask if I have more questions? Pastor Jerry Grimshaw would be happy to answer your questions.
